How do our torches get hot enough to melt the borosilicate glass?

Fuels and oxidizer demo by Jason

Borosilicate, or Pyrex, glass has a higher melting temperature than regular soda-lime glass.  This, along with it's other physical characteristics, is why it is called "hard glass".  But how do we take the same propane you can cook with and bring it up to the temperatures needed for melting the boro?  Here you can see that with the addition of oxygen a much hotter and more efficient flame is produced.
